Pancakes, Presence, and Prayer: Part 1: Power
Why: Are you interested in digging into your own and others’ relationship with power as well as a healthy stack of flapjacks on a Saturday morning? Have you wondered why some people think of power as being an essential part of any good interaction while others consider it oppressive and something to be avoided? If so, this is the workshop for you.
What: Join Mike Smith and fellow LCC’ers on a short journey to better understand power. We will be following an audio recording of Franciscan Priest, Richard Rohr as he guides us in un-packing the key stages of power leading us from powerlessness to true power. This information is valuable for your own development and in better understanding and enabling others. This topic lends itself to a great multi-generational conversation so all ages, high school through elders are encouraged to attend.
When: Saturday, October 25, starting at 9:00 am for a pancake breakfast and followed by a group session listening to Rohr's recording with several breaks for group discussions/reflections. We will be finished around noon. If interested or have additional questions, please contact Mike Smith.
